Real engagements, measurable outcomes

Challenge

An internal audit identified seven CDM 2015 nonconformities across three live projects, with an HSE inspection scheduled the following quarter.

Approach

We deployed two consultants part-time across the projects. Reissued pre-construction information, rewrote construction phase plans against current scope, retrained Principal Designer touch points, and ran a mock HSE inspection two weeks before the real one.

Outcome

All seven NCRs closed within 60 days. HSE inspection completed with verbal commendation and no enforcement action. Approach rolled out across the contractor's London framework.

Challenge

Customer demand for ISO 45001 within nine months. Existing 9001 manual was binder-based and disliked by ops. No appetite for a parallel system.

Approach

Gap analysis against 45001 clauses 4–10. Integrated documented information into the existing intranet. Ran two practical risk workshops with shop floor leads. Internal audit programme aligned across all three standards.

Outcome

Certified at Stage 2 with no major findings. Shop floor adoption confirmed by surveillance audit observations. Audit programme cut from 14 to 6 days/year by integrating.

Challenge

Group needed a single HSE standard across operations in 14 countries, with credible evidence that local legal requirements were also satisfied.

Approach

Built group minimum standards mapped to ISO 45001. Country-by-country legal registers compiled with in-country counsel. Local HSE champion network trained over 6 weeks. Quarterly assurance dashboard built on existing data feeds.

Outcome

Group standard in force across 14 sites within 18 weeks. Two near-miss leading indicators added that drove a 22% drop in lost-time incidents over the following year.

Challenge

Higher-risk building with golden-thread gaps inherited from a previous principal contractor. Resident communications immature.

Approach

Reconstructed key building information from design records, fire engineer reports and post-construction surveys. Built the safety case report iteratively with the Accountable Person. Stood up the resident engagement strategy and mandatory occurrence reporting workflow.

Outcome

Safety case report accepted by the Building Safety Regulator on first submission. Resident engagement scorecard improved 3.1 → 4.4 / 5 within two quarters.
