Construction H&S support that keeps the programme moving

From single-trade refurb to multi-phase infrastructure, we work as Principal Designer, client advisor, or competent person retainer across UK construction projects.

Top hazards

The six hazards we focus on in construction

Statistically these are where injuries and prosecutions cluster. Our standard scope covers all six on every project.

Working at height

Falls remain the largest single cause of fatal injury in UK construction. Work at Height Regulations 2005 hierarchy applied to MEWPs, scaffolding, edge protection and roof works.

Excavations and confined space

Confined Spaces Regulations 1997, CDM excavation duties, ground stability assessments, atmospheric monitoring and rescue arrangements.

Plant and pedestrian interface

BS 7121 lifting operations, exclusion zones, banksmen, segregated walkways, telehandler and excavator interaction with foot traffic.

Asbestos in refurb and demolition

Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 surveys, R&D surveys before notifiable works, licensed removal coordination, ACM register handover.

Respirable crystalline silica

COSHH 2002 WEL of 0.1 mg/m³ for RCS. Dust suppression, on-tool extraction, RPE programme, health surveillance under SUWO 2002.

Manual handling on site

Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992. Mechanical aids first, team lifts second, training and supervision third.

The legislation we audit and advise against
